Sunday school – 5 2 11 Club

Once a month we hold a Sunday Club for children of Primary school age.  This takes place in the Perceval Institute (starting at 5 to 11 in the morning) on the second Sunday in the month, and is for all children aged 5 to 11.  The children enjoy stories, teaching, games, craft activities and refreshments before going into church for the final 15 minutes of the service, when they have a chance to show what they have been making and to tell the congregation about their activities.

If your child would like to join us, we would be delighted!

Children’s Drama Group: All Saints

The Children’s Drama group was started in 2007 as a way of keeping children in touch with the Church. The name, ‘All Saints’ reflects the church connection.

Under the leadership of a local couple with a keen interest in drama and the Rector’s wife, Julian May, the group prepared and performed plays and poems in various churches in the cluster at the major festivals. They put on three major productions: The Wizard of Oz and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

Since Easter 2011, the group has been under new management, and for the time being will be focusing on preparing performances to enhance worship. The children will, for example, take part in the service of Remembrance in November, and at the Christingle service before Christmas.

The group meets fortnightly on a Saturday morning from 10 – 11.30, although this does alter depending on how close we are to a performance date!

If you know of a child, aged 7 – 12, who would like to join, please get in touch!

School Study Days

School parties are invited to visit St Endellion for an Educational Study Day.

The children are introduced to the main features of the church and then they break into study groups.

Half of the class will look at the colours of the church year, the Vestments and the items used in the celebration of the Eucharist 'play' the organ ring the bells. The other half go into the Church Hall to paint or to do some 3D craft work which can be taken back to school. After a break at mid morning the groups swap so that everyone has a chance to do everything.

For schools who wish to stay for the afternoon there is a chance to do some creative writing. All leaders are teachers or members of the clergy.

These days are suitable mainly for Key Stage 2 pupils and are proving very popular.
